Making a Ground Mandala with Nature at Bisson Preserve
Mandalas have been used for centuries around the world in many cultures as a meditation tool. In this workshop, celebrate beauty and impermanence, together as a group to create a ground mandala with nature. We will create this mosaic by borrowing found materials in nature, followed by a reflection, and an intentional dismantling to return everything back.
Kristen Pobatschnig, a local artist, will lead us in making our own mandala with natural materials at USVLT’s Bisson Preserve. Kristen is inspired by the colors and textures of nature, creating alluring paintings that combine styles of pointillism and abstraction. Her work can be found in public art installations all around the country.
Join us on Saturday, May 30, from 11a.m.-1p.m. at Bisson Preserve in Conway, NH, for this art-focused nature exploration. We will start with a short, flat walk to find the best area to create our art, then collect materials, and begin.
This is a free event, but registration is required. Register here!
